If you're 62 or older and are a US citizen, you can purchase the America the Beautiful—National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass—Senior Pass. It's $10 for a lifetime membership and it allows you free admission and discount camping (which is usually a 50% discount). This is the best $10 you can spend. (It's $10 if you get it in person or you can get it by mail for $20.)
